Dr. Patti Shields, Ed.D., is the Founder and Lead Consultant of Defeating Goliaths™, a consulting firm focused on building compliant, sustainable, and outcome-driven educational and clinical programs for students with disabilities.

With extensive experience in special education leadership, behavioral systems, and program development, Dr. Shields brings a systems-based approach to improving student outcomes, strengthening staff capacity, and ensuring regulatory compliance across organizations.

Her work is grounded in both academic expertise and real-world application, having led and supported complex educational environments serving diverse and high-need student populations.

In addition to her consulting work, Dr. Shields is the author of The Crown Collection, a four-book series focused on personal restoration, alignment, and empowerment. This work reflects the same principles of structure, clarity, and transformation applied in her consulting practice.
